When did you start your exercise program?
In July, 2006

What is your current exercise schedule like?
Usually 2x a week with the trainer for an hour, sometimes 3

Why did you start?
I had gained quite a bit of weight and was not feeling great about the way my clothes fit, the way I looked and also how I was feeling.  Dragging around extra weight was demoralizing

What keeps you motivated?
Getting results really paid off.  Knowing I've paid in advance and the trainer is waiting for me are other reasons.  But the work out is never boring and, as I said, it does get results!

What are your long term goals with health and fitness?
Keep the weight off -- maybe lose another 5 pounds.  Get more fit, build muscle and reduce flab, stay in shape as I get older

What other tips have you learned while on your "journey"?
Having a trainer who is well trained and smart makes this work.  Exercises are varied so as not to be boring, having someone sympathetic but insistent also works for me.  Having a reduced fee for bringing a friend (less boring and cheaper) is a great marketing strategy.

What nutritional advice have you learned?
Protein is important, and to really watch what I eat.  I've reduced the amount of wine I drink (learned wine is really fattening as well as not good in quantity for many other reasons) and I am trying to keep wine consumption under control one glass rather than three or more at dinner! Having a program of exercise and diet has actually worked for me and the oversight of the trainer has really changed how I look and fee.
